RBI Cancels NBFC Registration

RBI Cancels NBFC Registration of 13 Companies, 10 More Surrender: Full List and What Borrowers Should Do

Twenty-three companies lost their NBFC registration in two RBI lists published on 9 October 2026. RBI cancelled the Certificate of Registration (CoR) of 13 companies on its own. Another 10 surrendered theirs, and RBI then cancelled those too. Most are small companies registered in Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi; many have held their CoR since 1998–2004. If you have a loan, a deposit or a pending agreement with a finance company, it is worth checking that it isn’t on either list.

NBFC registration cancelled: the 13 companies

RBI says it acted “in exercise of powers conferred on it under Section 45-IA (6) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934” (PR 2026-2027/1295). The cancellation orders are dated 7 to 21 September 2026.

Company City Order date
Nakodar Finance Private Limited Chennai 7 Sep 2026
Ajitnath Steels Pvt Ltd (as per MCA: Augment Finvest Private Limited) Kolkata 11 Sep 2026
Astrol Dealcom Pvt Ltd Kolkata 14 Sep 2026
Bhagyashri Trading Pvt Ltd Kolkata 14 Sep 2026
Booh Finance Company Pvt Ltd Chennai 14 Sep 2026
Britex Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. Kolkata 14 Sep 2026
Sajili Vinimay Pvt. Ltd. Kolkata 14 Sep 2026
Bhumika Fiscal Services Private Limited Jaigaon, Jalpaiguri 15 Sep 2026
Blue Mount Exports Pvt Ltd. Kolkata 21 Sep 2026
Delta Capital Market Ltd. Kolkata 21 Sep 2026
Rajesh Fiscal Services Private Limited Kolkata 21 Sep 2026
Sarla Finance Pvt. Ltd. Kolkata (Rajarhat) 21 Sep 2026
Shreyans Vyapaar (P) Ltd Kolkata (New Town) 21 Sep 2026

RBI’s release ends: “the above companies shall not transact the business of a Non-Banking Financial Institution”. It does not give the reason for each cancellation.

The 10 that surrendered

The second list gives a reason for every company (PR 2026-2027/1294):

Reason RBI gives Companies named
Exit from NBFI business Pragati Fincap Limited (New Delhi), Rajlakmi Vanijya Pvt Ltd (Guwahati), Vivriti Capital Limited (as per MCA: Vivriti Finance Limited, Chennai), MSJ Colonising and Leasing Company Private Limited (Indore), PKSL Investment Private Limited (New Delhi), HCL Corporation Private Limited (New Delhi)
Now an unregistered Core Investment Company PCR Investments Ltd (Chennai)
Now an unregistered Type I NBFC Aparna Investment Pvt. Ltd. (Mumbai)
Ceased to exist (merger, dissolution, strike-off and similar) Vandana Griha Nirman Limited (Kolkata), Ramsisaria Builders Limited (Kolkata)

A surrender is not the same thing as a cancellation. These companies have chosen to leave, or no longer need a CoR. The list does not suggest wrongdoing.

If you deal with an NBFC on either list

  • Existing loan. Your repayment obligation doesn’t end when the lender’s registration does. Keep paying on schedule and ask the company in writing who will service the loan from now on. A missed EMI still reaches your credit report; see how to check your CIBIL score free.
  • Fresh loan offer. A company whose CoR has been cancelled “shall not transact the business” of an NBFI, so treat any new loan offer from it as a red flag. Our personal loan guide lists what to check in a regulated lender.
  • Deposits. Neither release mentions public deposits. If you have one, ask for repayment terms in writing and keep every receipt.
  • Settlement offers. If a lender offers to close a loan for less than what is owed, read loan settlement and CIBIL first.

Checking any NBFC yourself

RBI publishes the CoR number of every company in these releases (for example, B.05.04170 for Astrol Dealcom). Before you borrow, ask the lender for its CoR number and name, and compare them with RBI’s own lists on rbi.org.in. A gold-loan or personal-loan company should be able to give you this in seconds. For gold loans specifically, see our gold loan guide.

FAQ

Why did RBI cancel these registrations?

The press release cites the legal power (Section 45-IA(6), RBI Act) but gives no reason for any individual company.

Is Vivriti Capital shut down?

RBI lists it under “exit from NBFI business”. The release says nothing more about the company’s other activities.

Do I still owe money to a lender on the list?

Yes. Your loan agreement doesn’t end when the lender loses its NBFC registration. Ask who services it now.

How many companies are affected in total?

Twenty-three: 13 cancellations and 10 surrenders.

Takeaway: before you borrow from any finance company, ask for its NBFC registration (CoR) number and look it up on RBI’s lists.
